1. Q. How safe is this camp? A. There will be no compromise when it comes down to the health and safety of your children. 2.Q. What happens in case of an emergency with my child? A. You will be notified first and we are always in close proximity with the relevant emergency services and hospitals. 3.Q. Who takes care of the children? A. The Kidscape staff are on hand 24 hours a day. 4.Q. Where do the children sleep? A. In dorms which are very close to all the staff. 5.Q. Are there supervised meal times? A. There are 3 meal times a day and always in the company of the Kidscape staff. 6.Q. Are the sleeping arrangements for the boys and girls separate? A. Yes, most definitely. 7.Q. Who are the ancillary staff? A. They are the staff at Camp Nelu who are qualified in various activities e.g. abseiling. 8.Q. Do the kids get to bath or shower every day? A. Yes. 9.Q. Do the children need pocket money? A. Yes, about R100.00 and they are held responsible for it, although we run a bank system to assist them. 10.Q. Are the children allowed to phone home? A. No, but only in case of an emergency or a Birthday. 11.Q. Do the kids have tuck shop? A. Yes, after lunch or dinner. Aileen Hi Graeme, Trust that you are well and well rested by now. This is just a note of thanks, Shae and Sage thoroughly enjoyed the camp. They ranted on for hours talking simultaneously about the activities, the kids and the councilors. Yum-Yum and Babbles make and huge impression on them and speak very highly of them and of course think you are the best thing since Super Heroes and the camp the best thing to Playstation (yeh to that). From all the activities are the “snake pit” their least favourite and the archery the most favourite, but all in all they had a great time. They also enjoyed the group activities and said it was so much fun and that they did the funniest things, like the donut race. They came back positive and full of life – thank you. What impressed me the most was the songs they learned is such a short period of time, it is not your usual songs so for them to have learned it all is amazing, and very entertaining I must admit; they love singing it to us. The boys are two extremes when it comes to food; Sage loves food and eats all the time and Shae well let’s just say is very picking in what he eats thus am I glad to report that they were both fond of the food and according to Sage plentiful so no complaints here. I have just downloaded the photo’s from the website and must say I am pressed of the quantity of photo’s that were taken. Through the photo’s can I see what they were ranting and raving about very well done. So as you can see I only have positive things to say about their experience at the camp. Even though it is a far travel for us from Steelpoort can I guarantee you that the boys will be back for another camp. I have promoted your camp with my friends and so far has at least one family that said that if the boys go again will they sent their boy as well.
